If you do workouts that make you sweat 2 or 3 times a week (or more) then it is important to re-mineralize your body.  Hydration is paramount, but drinking water isn’t enough on its own.  When you sweat, you lose vital minerals like sodium, magnesium, potassium, etc.  When you then drink a ton of water to “rehydrate” you are now diluting the minerals that your body didn’t lose from sweat, and overtime this can lead to leaching minerals from your bones as well as other health challenges down the line.

Sole water has been a life saver for me.  I teach 10+ yoga classes a week, more than half of them are heated to 100 degrees.  I also teach indoor cycling (spin) and love to do my own workouts including hill sprints, weight lifting, surfing, and jogging on the beach.  Needless to say I sweat a lot!  I was constantly feeling dehydrated and couldn’t understand why.  I started adding some bananas and coconut water to my daily routine and started to feel better, then I discovered how to make Sole Water and have been drinking it every morning for almost a year.  It works wonders for me and my clients who are very active and need to stay hydrated.

The concept behind Sole Water is to use high quality salt (not bleached or iodized salt) mixed with water. I prefer Himalayan Pink Salt – it is what I use to make Sole Water.  You can get Himalayan Pink Salt online at Amazon or other retailers, at Costco, or at pretty much any grocery store.  Be sure there’s only one ingredient in the salt you buy.  When you use the proper quantity of salt and water, the water molecules absorb the minerals from the salt until the water molecules have been fully saturated.  It takes 6-12 hours for the water molecules to absorb the minerals from the salt, so I typically make a batch of Sole Water at the beginning of the week and wait until the next morning to use that batch of water.

To drink your Sole Water, take 1 teaspoon (+/-) from your solution, and add to a large glass of fresh water.  Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

I have created Sole Water Kits to get you started, as it is important to make your Sole Water in a glass jar with a plastic lid (do not use anything metal to avoid corrosion) and for me this was the most challenging to come by.  My Sole Water Kit comes with enough Pink Himalayan Sea Salt for your first batch of Sole Water.  Once you have added fresh (filtered) water to your kit, you’ll have enough Sole Water to last you approximately 7-14 days, until you can purchase more Pink Salt and continue making your solution.

Be sure to use only 1 teaspoon at the most to begin,  you can increase to 1 tablespoon a day depending on how your body tolerates the solution.  Be certain to continue to drink your normal amount of fresh water daily.
